Brief

With such a large student base on the Gold Coast, we were tasked with creating a website that appealed to the vast variety of students on the Gold Coast and those potentially coming to the Gold Coast. This not only included providing course information but also showcasing the unique Gold Coast lifestyle.

This information also needed to be updated on a regular basis by the client, so an easy to use yet comprehensive CMS was required for the project.

As a high traffic website, we also had to ensure that the website and the hosting environment would be able to sustain the high volume traffic heading to the website on a daily basis.

Finally we were tasked with appropriately marketing the website and courses appropriately to potential students.

Background

Study Gold Coast aims to provide insight into the exciting young lifestyle and culture of the Gold Coast for potential students. Rich with resources and course information, the website is integral for students wanting learn about courses and subjects across a number of providers on the coast.

Challenge

  • User friendly

    As a high traffic website, we had to ensure that the website and the hosting environment would be able to sustain the high volume traffic heading to the website on a daily basis.

Our Solution

  • Responsive website

    Stead Lane created a fresh, clean design and easy to navigate website for Study Gold Coast. The newly developed website is responsive and optimised for handheld devices.

  • Customised CMS

    The website was custom built in SilverStripe, this provided the website with stability and a highly flexible CMS. The CMS not only allowed the client to update the website content, but also gave them the ability to create and list comprehensive course and campus information.

  • Email marketing campaign

    We also implemented a full email marketing strategy, the campaign focussed on segmentation of the subscriber list and accurately targeting students, sending them information on courses that relate to their subject interests.
